-All on demand systems can replace electric hot water systems if you have a gas meter with 2psi supply or a propane bottle.
-All on demand systems are installed on aluminum checker plate unless plywood is requested.
-All on demand systems require a permit to be pulled unless your replacing one with the same btu then a gas safety registration is required
-All recirculation pump on demand units require a recirculation line ran to furthest fixture at a separate cost or there normal units can circulate it through the cold line but there is side effects of having to run your cold tap till  warm water comes out. if u have a cold fridge water supply u wont care about this and your showers will be hot instantly without having to run a recirculation line in the wall. a normal circulation line would leave ur cold line cold only difference.
-All gas lines will be run with 1/2 iron pipe this makes it a more resilient system and will be able to supply more than just the on demand unit in the future if u decide to have a range, fireplace or outdoor BBQ or heat pump. its also to make it more earthquake safe i have trouble trusting flare joints if things get a good shake

If a new gas supply line is required for volume for the machine to run add 800-1400$ depends on how far the gas meter/propane bottle is
